About us
Archetype is the brainchild of entrepreneur and go-getter, Ben Lee. Ben got his start with the prominent restaurant and hospitality group Dolce Group. He hit the ground running at 16 years old and worked his way up the ranks as a busboy. Within two years, Ben was managing day-to-day operations for the company's two most successful properties, Geisha House and Les Deux. While the staff thought Ben was 26 years old, he was actually an 18 year old successfully managing two properties that were grossing over $20M annually combined. After Dolce Group, he went on to open and and establish Kitchen 24. Known as the hottest 24-hour diner in Hollywood, Kitchen 24 caters to the cravings of A-List celebrities, professional athletes and industry folks at all hours of the night.Ben remains an equity partner in the original Kitchen 24 and is assisting in the opening of the second location in West Hollywood scheduled for early 2012. At the height of the recession, Ben successfully raised over $5M for various tech and restaurant start-ups.Some of these projects went on to be big hits and others didn't even see the light of day, but it offered Ben the chance to align with his true passion in the tech industry. He started out building simple web pages for restaurants and grew to become a major player in the software world serving as Client Partner for Citrusbyte and working with Fortune 100 companies like AT&T, Concord Music Group and Disney. |

Our Methodologies

Standups
To ensure our projects stay on course, we focus on daily communication, known by tech geeks as the daily scrum. More
We timebox our standups to 10 minutes every morning. Oh yeah, and we literally make everyone stand. Being slightly uncomfortable makes everyone a bit more efficient. Just one of many ways we keep it agile and creative.

Business-Value Solutions
We don't house pre-madonnas who just write code for the sake of writing code. More
We keep the focus on a realistic budget while we evaluate your business needs and create the best solutions to reach your goals. Driven by integrity, we're not afraid to tell you a simple WordPress site may be all you need. We're here to make friends, not just money, so you will never see us experimenting with new tools or frameworks on our clients' dime. We use our own time and money to experiment.
-
Full Transparency
Communication is key and we encourage direct connections between our development team and the product owner. More
We don't use project managers to mediate relationships with our clients. If you want to work directly with our team, that's totally fine. We offer staff augmented solutions so you can manage your team and work with them directly day-to-day. There are some ground rules with that sort of engagement style, so feel free to ask and we shall tell.

Lean & Mean
We like to keep our code and our teams, lean and light weight. More
This means that you will have a team of dedicated resources (only don't call them resources, we refer to our developers as Rockstars), working only on your project. A typical team is a front-end and back-end pair working in true pair programming fashion. Two keyboards, two mice, one computer, one monitor, and two rockstars. You've heard the old saying two heads are better than one, that's how we approach crafting code.
